(Note: Carver County Library branch managers are providing updates on programs, new services and book reviews for Carver County Local News. This month, Chanhassen and Victoria location manager Patrick Jones shares November plans.)
Come to Wilder Room at the Chanhassen Library at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 16, for storyteller Rima, who will present a special event celebrating South Asian culture.
This storytime incorporates Indian languages such as Bengali and Hindi with English, highlighting the richness of Desi stories. Recommended for children 3 and older.

Bilingual Spanish/English Storytime with stories, music, movement and crafts takes place at the Chaska Library at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 17, for all ages but with a focus on children aged 2 and older. ¡Bienvenidos a La Hora de Lectura Bilingüe con cuentos, música, movimiento, y manualidades!
Saturday, Nov. 22, will feature two great programs for kids. At Victoria starting at 10:30 a.m., it is time to Read, Stay, Play! Drop in for family reading activities, crafts, toys and more.
At 11:30 a.m. at Chaska is the Puzzle Race where you can compete with other puzzlers to put your puzzle together the fastest. There will be five groups of four participants. Registration required.
End the month by loading up on books on Saturday, Nov. 29, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Friends of the Victoria Library book sale. Find good deals on gently used books (and more) for all ages. Proceeds from the book sale directly support the Victoria Library’s programs, collection and furnishings. This is a cash-only sale.
