Gina Maria’s at 7416 Mitchell Road in Eden Prairie was closed Thursday, Oct. 16, after the Twin Cities pizza chain announced on its website that it would shut down all four of its locations.
The chain had four restaurants in Chanhassen, Plymouth, Edina and Eden Prairie. It announced the closure in a notice on its website. There was no prior warning, as Gina Maria’s Facebook page promoted specials as recently as Monday of that week.
“This decision did not come easily,” a statement on the website said. “We are incredibly grateful for the loyalty, support and memories we’ve shared with all of you.”
The statement did not specify whether all four locations closed, but each restaurant’s phone number plays a recorded message saying it is closed. Each location is also marked closed on Google.
Gina Maria’s first opened in Minnetonka in 1975.
