Comcast recently celebrated the grand opening of its new Xfinity retail store in Chanhassen on Friday, Sept. 26. A ribbon-cutting ceremony brought together Comcast Midwest Region leaders and employees, local officials and community members to mark the company’s latest investment in Minnesota infrastructure and customer service.
“We’re excited to welcome Comcast’s newest Xfinity store to Chanhassen,” said Chanhassen Mayor Elise Ryan. “We appreciate Comcast’s investment in Chanhassen.”
The opening event was attended by representatives from Comcast and the City of Chanhassen, as well as members of the SouthWest Metro Chamber of Commerce, Chanhassen Fire Department, and local nonprofit A Better Society.
“This new location not only brings advanced technology and services closer to our residents but also reflects the kind of forward-thinking investment that supports local connectivity and economic development,” said Steve Curtis, Executive Director of the Chamber. “We’re proud to see Chanhassen included in Comcast’s expansion efforts and look forward to the continued benefits their arrival will provide in the growth and vitality of our neighborhoods and businesses.”
As part of its community commitment, Comcast presented donations to both A Better Society and the Chanhassen Fire Department’s Toys for Tots campaign.
The retail opening is part of a larger expansion and upgrade to its fiber network across the region. In the past three years, the company has invested more than $525 million in its Minnesota network infrastructure. The Chanhassen buildout is expected to be fully completed later this fall.
“We are doubling down on our commitment to bring Xfinity closer to the communities we serve,” said Rachel Johnson, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Comcast Midwest. “Opening in Chanhassen is part of our broader strategy to enhance and personalize the customer experience.”
The store provides services for residential and business customers where visitors can test out the latest products and services, get support with billing and devices and explore other offerings
As part of the store’s launch, Comcast is offering specials and discounts.
The new store is located at 464 Lake Drive #130 and is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
