Summer Reading Fun and Exciting Events at Carver County Libraries

(Note: Carver County Library branch managers are providing updates on exciting programs and new services for Carver County Local News. This month, Chaska location manager Kevin Spencer shares updates about summer programs)

As the library summer reading program for 2025 draws to a close on August 10, there’s still plenty of time to get in some last-minute reading and earn chances to win exciting prizes. But that’s not all – Carver County Libraries are hosting a variety of fun activities and learning experiences for all ages throughout the rest of the summer.

Summer reading wrap-up

Kids and teens: Don’t miss your chance to participate in the summer reading program before it ends! Whether reading for pleasure or challenging yourself to explore new genres, there’s still time to join in. Every book read provides a chance to win great prizes so be sure to finish strong before the program ends. It’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy a good book and earn a reward at the same time!

New notary public service at Chaska library

The library is excited to announce a new service: notary public services are available at the Chaska Library starting August 4. The service is offered on a walk-in basis at the information desk during regular hours (but please note that availability is subject to when a commissioned notary librarian is scheduled). It’s always a good idea to call ahead at 952-303-0402 extension 2 to confirm. Be sure to bring legal identification and any required witnesses. Please note that notary services are not available for wills, estates, or trusts due to their legal complexity.
