The Carver County Library will add extra hour access for approved adult patrons to visit the Victoria branch during non-staffed hours, beginning Tuesday, Sept. 2.
During the extended access hours, visitors will be able to use a public computer, scanner, fax machine, printer and self-checkout library materials. The building can also be used as a study space.
To be eligible for extended access, an adult patron must:
- Have a valid library card in the Carver County Library system. The card (not just the barcode) and a four-digit PIN is needed to get into the library. Note: if a patron’s PIN is longer and/or has letters, they can use the “Forgot My PIN” link to change it.
- Read resources on the Extended Access website, including
- Frequently Asked Questions
- Extended Access User Agreement
- Public Conduct Policy
- Fill out the application on the same Extended Access website
Once an application is filled out and approved, the patron will receive an email stating they will need to visit the library for a short orientation with a staff member. The visit must be scheduled in advance by the patron.
After these steps have been taken, extended access privileges will be added to the patron’s library card.
